Futsu Black Pompoen zaaden - Onbespotten, Eetbaren

Futsu Black Pompen Zaaden - onbespotten - eetbare - oogst 2024 - open pollinated - seeds tested (sprouted within 5 to 10 days) I've grown blue pumpkin for 2 years and last year Futsu Black. It was a bountiful harvest. Even the unripe pumpkin can be cooked and eaten. The almost ripe pumpkin can be harvested and ripen. Futsu Black is a Japanese pumpkin and has a deep silky smooth flavour in soup, shared by our friend, who is a Japanese Ramen Chef in Schiedam. It reminds his wife of the pumpkin back in Japan. It's a versatile pumpkin. It can be stewed with meat, curry dish, puree dish, Chinese savoury pumpkin cake, pumpkin tart or bread and much more. We like to made food from soil to table, experimenting and creating dishes. You need space to grow futsu black as they're a big plant and love to crawl. It's good to let them crawl on soil as each vine roots into the soil and there is where the pumpkin can get enough of nutrients from the soil and grow quite big! No fertilizer added. I just let them grow and let nature takes its course. The flowers are incredibly big and gorgeous! Lots of hoverflies, wasp and solitary bees, buzzing from flowers to flowers. I simply love witnessing them going around collecting nectars. A definitely bee-insects friendly plant. Wanna try this year to grow futsu black? I've carefully washed, dry, sorted, tested the seeds and ready to go for sale. 15 seeds for €3. All proceed sold is to continue to support us to create our forest wild garden home, still in the midst of creation, experimenting and testing out what works and not in the Alteveer, GR, where we are staying.
